The boats

One price for the whole boat. Not per person.

Bring up to six on Majik or four on Blue Assets. Everything you need for the day is already aboard, so the only decision is which boat and how long.

When we run. Day trips run on weekends. Monday to Friday it’s sunset cruises only, and you can book a sunset cruise on a weekend too.

The catamaran

Majik

38-foot Lagoon 380 sailing catamaran

$300an hour, whole boat4 hours minimum, up to 10. That’s $1,200 for a half day.

A catamaran rides on two hulls, so it stays level instead of leaning the way a sailboat does. Plenty of people who wouldn’t step onto a sailboat will happily spend a day on a cat.

What you’ll do out there

A sail, a sunset, a fish, a swim.

Every trip is private, so the day is yours. Day trips run on weekends, and sunset cruises run any day of the week. Tell us what you’re hoping for and we’ll plan around it.

Day sail

Hernando Beach has direct Gulf access, mostly calm shallow water and a lot of wildlife. A day sail is the simplest way to see it.

Sunset cruise

The last hours of light on the water, with the people you want to watch it with. Any day of the week, and the only trip we run on weekdays.

Fishing

Rods and bait are aboard, our license covers you, and we clean what you catch.

Snorkeling

Snorkels, masks and fins are aboard, plus a lily pad, water scooters and floats for anyone who’d rather float.

We’re not a five-star restaurant, so don’t expect steak and lobster. Chips, fruit, cold drinks, done simply. Want sandwiches? Ask when you book, for an extra charge.

Captain Darryl

Darryl started sailing at seven, on a Sunfish, and has been on the water since he was six. Thirty years in the Coast Guard took him from Florida to Alaska to San Juan. He’s held a six-pack captain’s license for six years.

When Darryl and I first started dating, we discovered a mutual dream of owning a catamaran and sailing around the world. That became a reality shortly after we got married. We want to run weekend excursions to get people out on the water and back into nature, families spending quality time enjoying the Florida waterways. Sailing is innately relaxing, and we want to share that experience.

Who you’ll meet at the dock: Darryl and Brandy, their 13-year-old daughter who helps out, and a long-time family friend who jumps aboard to help.

Before you book

The questions everyone asks.

Straight answers, so you don’t have to call and ask five things first. Anything else, ask us.

What if the weather turns?

Captain Darryl makes the call. If weather cancels a trip we reschedule it, with 24 hours' notice to you. If we ever cancel for a reason that isn't weather, you're refunded in full.

How does booking work, and do you take a deposit?

Send a request below or call. 50% down holds your date, and the balance is due two weeks before the trip. We'd love two weeks' notice, but it isn't required.

When do you run trips?

Weekends are for day trips: a sail, fishing or snorkeling on either boat, four to ten hours on Majik or a half day on Blue Assets. Monday through Friday we run sunset cruises only, and a sunset cruise can be booked on a weekend too. Tell us the date you have in mind and we'll say what's possible.

Can we get married on the boat?

Ask us about wedding packages. Tell us the date, how many people and what you have in mind, and we'll put something together.

Are kids welcome?

All ages, with close parental supervision. Every passenger signs a waiver, kids included.

Is there a bathroom on board?

One on Majik, the catamaran. None on Blue Assets.

Can we bring our own food and drinks? What about alcohol?

Absolutely, within reason. Fridge space is limited. We don't serve alcohol, but you're welcome to bring your own.

What should we wear and bring?

Lightweight clothes you can get wet in. Fast-drying SPF clothing is a good option. Sandals are best, and shoes come off before you board; water socks are fine on deck. Bring sunglasses and any medications you need. Leave spray sunscreen and bug spray at home, they're not permitted on the boat. We have sunblock and repellent aboard.

What about seasickness?

Majik has plenty of seating inside and out, and outside is the best place to be if you're feeling it. If you know you're prone to it, pick up motion-sickness medication at a local store before you come. Our crew doesn't dispense any medication.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. They need to be up to date on shots, on a leash, and in a pet life jacket.

Where do we leave from, and where do we park?

Our private dock in Hernando Beach. We send the address when you book. There's private, fenced parking on site with a professionally monitored surveillance system.

What's the safety setup?

An AED and a first-aid kit are aboard, and the crew is trained in first aid and CPR. Captain Darryl spent 30 years in the Coast Guard.
